  • Winter Evening Train

    Come and enjoy unique luxury on board the Inaugural Winter Evening Train. This 2-hour round trip experience includes six great vintage cars that you can wander through during the ride. Enjoy a variety of drinks in any of the four bars on the train. Great finger foods will delight your senses. Includes live music with room for dancing to the sultry voice of Jenn Taylor. Or sing along in our karaoke lounge in another beautiful car. On board, you will be free to stroll through our unique glass dome car, elegant parlor car, other beautiful lounges. Your ticket includes finger foods, and two drinks of choice in any of the bars. Additional beverages are available for purchase, including a whiskey bar and wine tasting bar. Non-alcoholic options are available. Must be at least 21 years old. All passengers must present an ID before boarding. We will use wristbands to keep track of drinks served. This event is limited to 150 guests. You will enjoy the first tasting experience in the car you boarded and then will be free to roam and spend time in any of the other cars on the train.

    Participants in the Poker Ride will be playing 5 Card Stud where riders will stop at 5 stations along a designated trail and draw one card at each station to build their poker hand.     We begin with some mingling over a delicious brunch. Opening circle is at 10:30am and we introduce ourselves, set our intention, and begin explore some blue sky questions.

    The retreat includes a swim at the geothermal Midway crater, a fun, relaxing, and unique experience!

    The rest of the day is divided into share sessions—each guest comes prepared to share something of herself for 10-15 minutes. It could be something she is passionate about, something she has learned deeply, something she has gone through/is going through, or something she has overcome. We have so much to learn from each other and every voice is needed.

    We conclude with a vision boarding exercise and a closing circle.

    Becoming a responsible citizen is an important part of living in this great country. With our freedoms come responsibilities.

    The Responsible Citizen program is a program that we are launching that consists of a series of courses designed to cultivate citizens that are prepared and capable as well as building a stronger community.

    We will work together alongside our first responders to instruct and guide you. Skills we will cover will include Land Navigation and Lost Proofing, First Aid and CPR, Basic Survival, Trained Observer, and more. The goal is to create a stronger relationship between our first responders and our citizens and together strengthen the community.

    In Action is the culmination of the Responsible Citizen program where we discuss an implementation plan of each other component (Survival, Defense, and First Aid) into the Pillars of Preparedness: Person, Mobility, and Homestead. We’ll review what kit you should have and how to create a plan to be prepared in each of these situations.

    Ski & Sing presents AJ LeGrand with Timmy the Teeth is coming to DeJoria Center on October 11, 2022!

    The Dejoria Center at High Star Ranch, AJ LeGrand, Timmy the Teeth, and a collaborative of rad humans present a nourishing live music experience to raise funds for US Paralympic Ski Team athlete Saylor O’Brien.

    Ticket, merchandise, and auction proceeds will go towards funding custom adaptive equipment, high performance skis, body and recovery optimization, travel, logistics, and the pushing of human limitations and adaptive boundaries. Athleticism is the goal and reciprocity is part of how Saylor would like to get there. This experience is founded in desire for an exchange of energy, beneficial to all who attend.

    Come and enjoy an evening of nourishing vibrations and community with AJ, Timmy, Saylor and her family!

    AJ LeGrand weaves vulnerabilities into a tapestry of niche sound and authentic artistry. His work is produced with generosity and love for the human story, which generates a felt sense in the body, especially live. Notes of blues, soul, country rock, and folk are most identifiable in his delivery of emotional lyricism.

    Miners’ Day Parade

    Put your blanket down on the curb with the kids and be ready for the fun. The parade is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., just after the annual Running of the Balls down Main Street. The parade route runs the length of Main Street, before skipping over to Park Avenue and on down to City Park.

    9th Annual 1940’s Hangar Dance

    We are excited to get back into the swing of things, so to speak! Come in your vintage dress (not required, but highly encouraged), and be transported back in time as you dance the night away to 1940’s and 1950’s hits from Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Bill Haley, Elvis Presley, and more, all to a live jazz band! We hope you can join us in this commemoration of a timeless piece of history!
