WASATCH COIN & HISTORY CLUB

On Tuesday, 30 January, the Club will join young and old numismatists to share on World War II in the Pacific thru Coins and Currency.

Thanks to all our Sponsors:  Austin Rare Coins in Texas sent us a donated collection “treasure trove” of world and US coins and tokens, many from WWII, and we’ll have lots of rewards and prizes to share at the end of this meeting.  Joel Anderson at Joel’s Coins rounded up a nice collection of Pacific WWII currency we’ll share and use to tell “the rest of the story”.  And our own Lee Mckenzie, PhD, a numismatist at All About Coins with his son Izaak,  donated some WWII coins with his unique, color labels to share and give out. Finally, Brian Rust at Rust Coin and Gift in Provo gave me a great deal on a Hawaii $20 bill from WWII when the USA thought the Japanese may invade/occupy the Hawaiian Islands.  And let’s not forget the contributions of many of our members in this past year – coins, presentations, and show and tell from our young and old numismatists were outstanding!
