Skijoring Utah
Skijoring is a winter sport where a skier is pulled by a horse, dog, another animal, or even a motor vehicle. The name is derived from the Norwegian word skikjøring, meaning “ski driving.”
In the Heber Valley, Skijoring Utah is an action-packed competition where a horse and rider pull a skier through a fast-paced obstacle course that includes gates, jumps, and rings. Here, skijoring combines Utah’s ski heritage with our cowboy roots, creating a wild but spectacular event. Competitors race for cash and prizes. Spectators come from all over to cheer on the participants and experience something new.
