  • Heber City Historic Ghost Tours

    Learn about downtown Heber’s most infamous ghosts and lingering spirits doomed to wander among the living. The Heber City Historic Ghost Tour is a family-friendly experience, though it is not recommended for small children or those who prefer to avoid eerie and spine-tingling stories.

    Dress appropriately for the weather as you will be walking outdoor from site to site and you will need to be able to climb stairs.  Restrooms are available at select tour sites.

    Each guided tour runs approximately 1 hour and walking distance is about a quarter mile. Tours run nightly from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.

  • Yoga @ Soldier Hollow

    This isn’t just yoga. It’s a chance to connect with nature, breathe deep, and find your center – whether you’re on the trails, the rooftop deck, the patio, or stretching on the hillside.  Our live instructor guides the class over our PA system, so you can hike, move, and flow wherever the spirit takes you. Classes are 30 minutes long geared towards warm up and cool down to enhance sport performance.  Guests are welcome to practice on the patio, roof deck or venue grounds. It’s open to all levels – no experience needed.

    Heber Valley, Utah is proud to be the location for the annual Make It Reign Fastpitch Softball Tournament hosted by D-1 Prospects. Games will be held at Southfield Park in Heber City, Utah.   • Skin Cancer Foundation: Mobile Skin Cancer Screening Program

    The Skin Cancer Foundation will visit Sundance Mountain Resort September 19th & 20th, to offer complimentary skin cancer exams, educational resources, and sun protection products.

    The Foundation’s Destination Healthy Skin RV visits communities around the U.S, covering over 10,000 miles, to provide free skin exams and raise skin cancer awareness. The Foundation hosts Destination Healthy Skin events in approximately 30 cities this year and Sundance Resort is grateful to be included on their tour. Everyone is invited to come by on September 19th & 20th from 10 am – 4pm for complimentary exams (no appointment necessary).

  • Mountain Pride Day @ Deer Valley

    Deer Valley is excited to announce our second annual Mountain Pride Day, celebrating Pride Month with a vibrant and inclusive event. Scheduled for Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., this family-friendly celebration will be held at the Snow Park Base Area. Guests are invited to experience a day at Deer Valley filled with festivities, entertainment, and community spirit. Mountain Pride Day is an open event designed to foster togetherness and support for the LGBTQ+ community.
    Deer Valley will donate a percentage of all lift ticket sales on Mountain Pride Day to Summit Pride. Summit Pride, formerly known as the Park City LGBTQ+ Taskforce, works to sustain and amplify LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the Wasatch Back, ensuring everyone feels a sense of belonging.

    Wasatch County Library and the Live Like Sam Foundation are excited to host the intergenerational program Sages & Seekers CLASS 02 for Wasatch and Summit County communities. Older adults, ages 60+ (called Sages), and teenagers, ages 13 – 19 (called Seekers), can participate. Over eight meetings, participants have authentic conversations, learn from one another, and gain empathy across generations. Teen participants develop conversation skills and older adult participants share life stories and experiences. Space is limited for both generations. Sages are asked to complete an orientation meeting prior to acceptance in the program.

The hike will take you up to the scenic 3 Rocks Trail Overlook, offering views under the full moon, before returning to the nature center for hot chocolate. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring water and a headlamp if possible.

    Step back in time and explore the rich tapestry of our town’s history at the “Paint the Town” event, a unique celebration that marries art with the storied past of our historical properties. The “Paint the Town” art show and sale will take place on Friday, October 11, from 6 pm-9pm and on Saturday, October 12, from 10 am-3pm at the Midway Community Center located at 160 W. Main St. in Midway, Utah.

    The event will feature paintings inspired by Midway’s most notable historic properties and created by artists from the Midway Art Association and the Plein Air Painters of Utah.

    In addition to the art exhibit, the Friday night open house will feature presentations and information about how these landmarks have shaped our community over the decades.

    The “Paint the Town” event promises to provide community engagement and education, aiming to deepen appreciation for our historical properties while sharing the love of art that runs deep throughout Midway’s history.     How do you turn maple sap into maple syrup? Come learn about the process with us! This will be our inaugural syrup making event.     Beginning January 16, 2024 the Blue Collar Tour will visit over 30 different high schools and trade schools across the United States. BCT showcases the trades, in an exciting way, as a viable alternative to the traditional college route.

    Our team will be stopping by Wasatch Alternative School for stop #31 in Heber City, Utah alongside their Welding Teachers, Lindsey Jacobson and Malcolm Rose, to put on a show stopping production that highlights welding and the opportunities it can provide as a career.

    Join the USU Extension at the Wasatch Mountain State Park Visitor Center for a maple tapping workshop. This workshop will cover several aspects of maple tapping, including the plant processes leading to sap flow, when to tap, how to tap, and what to do with the sap you collect.     Celebrate Public Works Week at a Community Celebration.

    Monday, May 19: Backhoe Rodeo

    The Wasatch County Events Complex will host a Backhoe Rodeo from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Public Works operators from across the valley will compete in a friendly skills competition, navigating challenging courses with heavy equipment. This is your chance to see the impressive skill and precision our operators bring to their daily work.

    Tuesday, May 20: Geocaching Scavenger Hunt

    Join the valley-wide scavenger hunt to learn about different Public Works entities – what they do and where they’re located. Participants will visit various locations to collect puzzle pieces, with the final destination at Heber City Public Works. The facility will offer tours, and everyone who completes their puzzle will receive prizes. The final destination party runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

    Wednesday, May 21: Party in the Park/Meet the Machines

    Bring the family to South Field Park from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a family-friendly celebration with food, music, and activities. Wasatch County Public Works will have an interactive booth with information about our noxious weed program and upcoming road projects. We’ll also display some of our heavy equipment, giving residents an up-close look at the machines that build and maintain our infrastructure.

    Join us for the Heber Valley Red, White & Blue Festival – A Celebration of Faith, Family, Freedom, and Country!

    Come together this Fourth of July for a day packed with exciting activities and patriotic festivities! The celebration kicks off early at Heber City Main Street Park with a 5K and 10K race, where participants can compete for fun or challenge themselves against fellow runners.

    Following the race, join the community for a Patriotic Walk, where participants can proudly show off their red, white, and blue attire and wave American flags as they stroll through town. The celebration continues with a chuckwagon breakfast to fuel up for the day’s fun!

    The Red, White & Blue Parade will then march from Veterans Memorial Park to the Heber City Park on 200 and 300 South, showcasing decorated floats, vintage vehicles, and community groups honoring the spirit of Independence Day.

    Enjoy games for the kids (adult children welcome), a sidewalk chalk art contest, a strongman competition, and other exciting games throughout the day. Browse the market with local vendors offering delicious food, unique crafts, and special holiday goods.

    The 36th annual Issues Community Conference will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Wasatch High School from 6:00-8:30 pm. National presenter, author, and renown relationship expert, Matt Townsend is this year’s keynote speaker. Dr. Townsend’s humorous and engaging presentation “The ABCs of Happiness” addresses simple secrets to living a happier life. He will also be conducting a workshop on strengthening relationships.

    The breakout workshops include; living your values, controlling screen time before it controls you, applying the wisdom of a Holocaust survivor, financial intelligence, tai chi, and other tools for stress reduction, and living more fearlessly. There will also be workshops presented in Spanish.

    The Issues Community Conference is produced by Wasatch County Parks & Recreation, the Wasatch County Health Department, Wasatch Behavioral Health and the Wasatch School District.   • Wasatch Citizens Series

    The Utah Nordic Alliance’s Wasatch Citizens Series (WCS) ski races have been Utah’s premier Nordic skiing events since 1979. The WCS consists of five events held yearly at the major cross-country ski areas along the Wasatch Front and Back. Two classic technique and three free technique races are included to provide the balance local athletes need to prepare for national and international competition.

  • Midway Swiss Chorus and Swiss Bells’ Holiday Concert

  • Midway Volksmarch

    Preserve Midway’s 2025 Midway Volksmarch Fall Festival and Fundraiser will be on September 27, 2025 – 10:00am -1:00pm.

    • 10:00 Ely the Friesian leads the walk to the land with us.

    • 10:30 gather on the land to learn about the “Heart of Midway” conservation project.

    • Come back to square for animals, food trucks, live music.

    • Walk anytime until 1:00pm

    Join us at Midway City’s Town Square to celebrate Midway’s rural past, present and future. Some visitors will be dressed in traditional German and Swiss clothing to celebrate the historical beginnings of Midway.  Live music, food trucks and local farm animals will be part of the attraction. Education booths will inform about the need to help preserve and celebrate Midway’s Open Space.

    Preserve Midway’s conservation efforts have helped conserve over 400 acres in and around Midway in the last 6 years.  Matching federal and private funds were factored as high has 11x along with Midway resident’s 2018 $5M Open Space Bond. And now with the new 2024 Open Space Bond more will be preserved. Preserve Midway is helping to educate the citizens how critical these local monies are to attract the federal and private funds needed to preserve what is most important in Midway – its rural character.

  • Family Dinner in the Park

    The Wasatch County Health Department and Caring Community Coalition invite our community to attend a FREE family dinner in the park. Join them at the Southfield Park for a free bagged dinner (while supplies last) from 4:30-7:00 PM. Hope to see you there!

  • YOGA Community Ages 55+

    Wasatch County YOGA FOR SERVICE Class Series. Join 200-hr RYT Yoga Instructor and volunteer, Marty Harger, for a yoga series intended to bring more grounding and less stress to your week. We use gentle movement connected to breathwork, mindful awareness and meditation as practices you can learn to incorporate at home to stay calm and well. Presented by the Wasatch County Senior Citizens Center and Wasatch County Library.

    Please bring your own yoga mat and yoga block. Wear clothes that allow you to move and breathe freely. Being comfortable is key and all are welcome with or without masks. The room a beautiful space to practice together! Questions? Call or text Marty Harger at 801-712-5406.

  • Last Friday of the month Gallery Stroll

    Hosted by the Park City Gallery Association, the Last Friday Gallery Stroll, is a fun (and free) monthly community event dedicated to highlighting artists and special exhibits at art galleries throughout town. Park City’s art scene continues to thrive, offering a robust variety of unique art collections from local, national, and international artists. On the last Friday of each month, nineteen of our art galleries open their doors for visitors and locals alike to enjoy light refreshments and to admire their latest art installations.

    Park City Gallery Stroll runs from 6:00 – 9:00pm on the last Friday of each month. It’s the perfect way to explore the Park City art scene while enjoying scenic Historic Main Street and our beautiful alpine evenings.

  • Midway Farmers Market

    The market is held every Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Midway Town Square from June through October. Fresh local produce and local artisans are onsite selling goods at the farmer’s market in Midway.

  • Planes and Horsepower Car Show

    Planes and Horsepower is back for its 10th year! The Utah Wing of the Commemorative Air Force is pleased to host one of Utah’s most unique car shows! Patrons can bring their vehicles to get a unique photo op with very rare WWII aircraft. You will have as a souvenir from the show digital files of your photo op and physical prints as an optional bonus.

  • Kids Health and Safety Fair and Mile by Mile Marathon

    Children in grades K–5 are invited to complete the final 1.26 miles of their marathon in this exciting event. Following the race, participants and their families can enjoy the Safe Kids Fair, featuring over 30 booth sponsors with engaging activities and valuable safety resources.

    The Richard W. Erickson Foundation is an Antique Power Museum with the best display of vintage vehicles and engines in Utah. Plan your visit around one of the few upcoming music festivals or events. Explore the pioneer village, visit the blacksmith, take a train ride, and watch the live demonstrations. These interactive demos show how people lived in this area in the past.

    Step into the magic of the season with our free “Pictures with Santa” events. Join us select Saturdays in December in a festive outdoor wonderland, where Santa will be waiting to hear your Christmas wishes and pose for the perfect photo to treasure all season long. Be sure to bundle up—it’s a winter event, and the holiday spirit is best enjoyed warm and cozy! Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture these timeless holiday memories. This is our gift to the community, spreading cheer and creating magical moments for all.

  • Live Nativity Christmas Celebration

    Join us for the annual Live Nativity Christmas Celebration at the Wasatch County Events Center. With live performances starting at 6:00 pm and again at 7:30 pm for three displays with script and music. Surrounded by live animals and a manger, the story of the birth of Jesus is played out by volunteers. Angels and donkeys join in as the story unfolds in front of your eyes. Please enter at the main entrance of the Event Center. There will be a food drive at the entrance, so please bring extra food to donate, if possible.

    Presented by MIRO Industries, this display focuses on the simplicity of the Christmas holiday as the Nativity is offered complimentary to our community.

  • Heber City Tree Lighting & Old Fashioned Christmas

    This annual small-town event is open to all and includes festive holiday music, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, reindeer, cookie decorating, caroling, food trucks, ice sculpting, and the lighting of the large tree. This event is free for all.

    6:00 pm: Cookie decorating for kids, face painting, musical entertainment, Santa and his reindeer, free hot chocolate provided by  Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

  • Halloween on Main @ Park City

    Travel and Leisure magazine has recognized Halloween on Historic Park City’s Main Street as one of the top Halloween celebrations in the country—and for good reason! This unique community event brings together two- and four-legged costumed creatures, gourmet treats, and a few playful tricks, creating an unforgettable celebration.

    3:00-6:00 p.m. Trick-or-Treating: Little ghosts and goblins are invited to Main Street for fun and safe Trick-or-Treating, compliments of participating merchants!

    Things to Note:

    • Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 2 p.m.
    • City Transit, City Transit, City Transit! It’s free, frequent, and easy!
    • Special event parking rates will be in effect for Halloween on Main.

    Join us for our first annual Halloween Spook-tacular, Saturday, October 28, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in Pendry Plaza. We invite the Park City community to come join us for a trick-or-treat in our plaza, with festive activities, pumpkin carving, costume contest, cookout and more. This family and pet-friendly event is complimentary and open to the public, with convenient complimentary parking in the parking deck below.

  • Heber Halloween Fest

    Prepare for sweet and spooky fun at this year’s Heber Halloween Fest at Main Street Park in Heber City. Join us Friday, October 24th, from 4:30 – 6:30 PM for trick-or-treating, a carnival, entertainment, vendors, and more.

    Soup & SoHo is an annual fundraiser to celebrate and support Team Soldier Hollow athletes. This year the event will have an online and in-person component on November 9th from 6-8pm featuring a broad selection of fantastic auction items that our athlete families and coaches procure from local businesses.
