Special Screening of “The Paradise Paradox” @ Deer Valley
The Paradise Paradox is a film that sheds light on the challenges our resort employees face and authentically portrays the complexities surrounding mental health in mountain communities.
Hosting this screening is essential for raising awareness, fostering understanding, and destigmatizing discussions around mental health. It’s an opportunity to promote open dialogue and strengthen a culture of compassion and unity beyond our slopes.
Directly following the film, there will be a panel discussion with local activists, advocates, athletes and Mark Chytka, a Deer Valley Ski Patroller featured in the film.
Moreover, this event provides a platform to highlight the innovative solutions that have been developed in response to our community needs. The film’s content, while ultimately uplifting, may be intense and potentially triggering for some viewers. Therefore, we have dedicated space adjacent to the theater with resources and representatives from numerous local organizations who will be there to connect with attendees directly.
There is incredible work being done right here in Park City in behavioral health services, and we hope you’ll take the opportunity to connect with some of them before or after the film.
