Every Friday night, from 7:30 – 10:30 pm, Melvin’s Public House hosts live music with great local Utah musicians.
This week we have former The Voice contestant Jonny Gold. Jonny is a singer-songwriter who was raised in the South Texas hill-country, in the heart of San Antone. A childhood in one of the greatest country music hubs in the world, of course lead to some of the obvious influences on their music like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Ray Wylie Hubbard, but Jonny has never liked painting with just a few colors. Their musical tastes and influence capture an entire spectrum of sound — Tracey Chapman, Nina Simone, Ray LaMontagne, James Taylor, The War on Drugs, Dawes, and more.
Live and local music every Friday at Melvin’s Public House from 7:30-10:30 pm. Join us for music, burgers wings, a selection of local beers on tap. Melvin’s is an all-ages restaurant. Tables are offered on a first-come first-served basis.
Come join us for the 23rd birthday party of the Jordanelle Tri!
It’s not every day that you can say you raced one of Triathlete Magazine’s Top 100 events in the Nation! The Jordanelle Triathlon is a classic. It’s one of Utah’s premier race venues, with some of the clearest open water, scenic bike courses, and a run course unlike any other event around. You’ll enjoy everything from the river bottom boardwalks in Rock Cliff Recreation Area to the local country backdrop of Francis and Woodland. This race is guaranteed to remind you of why you love the outdoors. If you haven’t raced Jordanelle Triathlon in awhile, this is definitely the year to come say “Hi” to an old friend. Jordanelle has also hosted numerous USA Triathlon regional championships, so you know you’ll be getting a competitive course with a storied history!
