Heber Valley Railroad has teamed up with High Country Adventure to create an unforgettable “Raft ‘n Rails” experience. This half-day excursion starts with a scenic train ride through the open pastures of Midway and rolls past Soldier Hollow, home of the 2002 Winter Olympic cross-country skiing events. The train wanders around Deer Creek reservoir and then descends down the breathtaking Provo Canyon. Just below the Deer Creek dam, you’ll depart the train and be shuttled to the edge of Provo River where you’ll get outfitted and begin your river rafting adventure.

The 6-mile river rafting trip starts above the Deer Creek campground and rafts down several class I and II rapid sections of Provo River. This activity is suitable for everyone. The guides will make sure you have a safe and enjoyable time on the water. The raft excursion ends at Vivian Park in Provo Canyon. After the raft ride, a shuttle bus will return you to your car at the train depot.  Excursion price includes a gourmet boxed lunch.
