Born and raised in Bozeman, Montana, he grew up surrounded by wildlife and wild spaces—an environment that continues to shape his artistic voice today. His childhood was filled with adventure: tracking deer through the woods, sledding down snowy hills, and watching hawks circle above open fields.\nHis deep respect for wildlife came from time spent in the mountains with his father, while his creative instincts were sparked by his mother’s encouragement to imagine freely and find joy in making. Those early influences instilled in him a love for exploration—both in nature and in the studio. That spirit of discovery still fuels his work, as he blends natural materials like sand, clay, and charcoal into layered, tactile paintings that invite connection.\n\n\n
